Steve’s theatre credits justify his reputation for versatility. Classic works include Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night and Romeo and Juliet. He played comic roles in Teachers, Weekend Breaks, Relatively Speaking, and Italian American Reconciliation. Shocked audiences across Australia as Joe Cooper in Killer Joe, and delighted them as D.H Lawrence in Lady Chatterley’s Love”, and Maxie in Road Train. On television he has been a guest on Blue Heelers and appeared in a number of short films and locally produced children’s dramas.In 2001 Steve received the Equity Guild Award for Best Actor for his performance in Daniel Keene’s To Whom it May Concern. In 2002 he again received the Best Actor Award for the role of Dougie in Ian Wildings Award winning play Below. Recent theatre credits include Patrick White’s classic Signal Driver, Irish Stew, Molly Sweeney, On Our Selection, Rusty Bugles and Macbeth.
